Sometimes the best cycling videos aren’t about speed or distance – they’re about the unexpected moments on the trail.
In this helmet-cam clip, an e-bike rider takes us along for a leisurely spin with a very special passenger: a cat riding calmly in the front basket.
The Big Dog Encounter
The first scene unfolds on a quiet dirt trail. Everything seems peaceful until a large dog bursts out of a driveway, barking furiously. While many pets would panic, the cat remains completely relaxed.
The cyclist instinctively keeps one hand on the cat for reassurance while steering with the other, but it’s clear the feline isn’t fazed. Even as the barking fades into the distance, the cat simply sits back, enjoying the ride.
A Jack Russell Chase
The second part of the video takes us to another trail where the duo encounter a smaller, high-energy dog – possibly a Jack Russell. This one charges after the bike, yapping non-stop.
The cyclist, clearly more confident after the first encounter, doesn’t even reach for the cat this time. The furry co-pilot stays unbothered, cool as ever, while the dog eventually gives up the chase.
A Lesson in Chill
With a chuckle, the rider lets go of the handlebars entirely, cruising no-hands with the most chilled-out cat you’ll ever see.
It’s a simple, funny, and heart-warming reminder of how the best cycling companions might just be the ones who take life in stride – or in this case, in the basket.
